These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of https://buildplate.ae and any purchase of goods from Buildplate ("we", "us", "our"), a business operating in the United Arab Emirates. By browsing the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory rights under Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection and its executive regulations, Federal Decree-Law No. 8 of 2017 on Value Added Tax, Federal Decree-Law No. 46 of 2021 on Electronic Transactions and Trust Services, or any other UAE law that cannot be excluded by contract.
1. Who we are
Buildplate designs and sells home products through https://buildplate.ae. We manufacture locally in the United Arab Emirates. For trader identity and support details, see Contact Us.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order. You confirm that information you give us is accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
3. Electronic contracts
Orders, confirmations, and related notices sent by email or displayed on the website are electronic records. Under UAE electronic transactions law, they have the same legal effect as writing where the law allows.
4. Products and descriptions
We sell standard catalogue items and made-to-order or personalised goods (including custom sizes, colours, layouts, engraving, and lithophane or photo-based products). Photographs and descriptions are for illustration. 3D-printed items may vary slightly in colour, finish, or dimension within normal manufacturing tolerance.
We take care to describe goods accurately as required by UAE consumer protection law. If a product is not as described, you may use the remedies in our Returns & Refunds policy and your statutory rights.
5. Pricing and VAT
Prices are in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED). Applicable Value Added Tax is charged in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 8 of 2017. Where we are registered for VAT, a tax invoice can be issued on request. Delivery charges are shown before you pay.
We may correct obvious pricing or stock errors before we accept an order. If the correct price is higher, we will ask you to confirm or cancel. Dynamic prices on configurable products reflect the options you select at checkout.
6. Orders and acceptance
Submitting checkout is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send an order confirmation email. We may refuse or cancel an order (with a full refund of any amount paid) if there is an error, a stock or production issue, a delivery restriction, suspected fraud, or another lawful reason.
7. Payment
Payment is taken at checkout through our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. You authorise us and the provider to charge the selected method for the order total, including delivery.
8. Delivery
We currently deliver within the United Arab Emirates only. Delivery times, fees, and free-delivery threshold (currently AED 100) are set out in Shipping & Delivery. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you provided, except where UAE consumer law provides otherwise.
9. Cancellation, returns, and refunds
Distance (online) purchases of unused standard goods may generally be withdrawn within 14 calendar days of delivery under UAE consumer protection rules for distance contracts. Personalised or made-to-specification goods are excluded from that cooling-off right once production has started, except where the goods are defective or not as agreed.

10. Intellectual property
Website content, branding, product designs, and software are owned by Buildplate or our licensors. You may not copy, sell, or commercially exploit them without written permission. If you upload a photo or artwork for a custom product, you confirm you have the right to use it and grant us a limited licence to produce that order only.
11. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, submit unlawful content, or use the shop in a way that breaches UAE law, including rules on fraud, IP, and public order.
12. Liability
We are responsible for products that are not of satisfactory quality, not as described, or unsafe, in line with UAE consumer protection law. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that UAE law does not allow us to exclude.
Subject to the previous paragraph, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (including lost profit or business interruption) that was not reasonably foreseeable, and our total liability for a claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
13. Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (Personal Data Protection Law) and our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page on the date you place an order applies to that order. Please review the Terms before each purchase.
15. Governing law and complaints
These Terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the applicable laws of the Emirate in which we operate. Disputes may be brought before the competent UAE courts, without affecting your right to file a consumer complaint with the Ministry of Economy — Consumer Protection (moec.gov.ae) or the competent local economic department.
